​Huzhou Future Conference opens

The Huzhou Future Conference was held in Huzhou on May 20. Shu Wei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), delivered a speech by video.

Martin John Evans, a Nobel Prize winner, Chen Hao, Party chief of Huzhou, and Hong Hupeng, mayor of Huzhou, gave speeches at the conference.

Shu said in his video message that the first Huzhou Future Conference serves as an open and trusted platform that invites the world's young talent to work together toward a brighter future. The CAST attaches great importance to and supports Huzhou's scientific and technological innovation and talent work, making Huzhou a globally competitive hub of innovative development and talent.

Martin John Evans said that Huzhou is a passionate and vibrant city that values talent and young people and resolutely pursues innovation. He promised that he will focus on regenerative medicine and encourage more internationally renowned experts to start businesses in Huzhou, contributing to the high-quality development of Huzhou's biomedical industry.

Chen introduced Huzhou to global talent and encouraged them to achieve success in Huzhou.

Hong briefed attendees on Huzhou's plans to attract global talent, doctors and university graduates.

Nearly 1,000 people participated in the conference's opening ceremony, including representatives of famous universities, young entrepreneurs, overseas talent and outstanding university students.
