A teacher explains the meaning of the mascots to the students, on Nov 18. The mascots are modeled after Mongolian children wearing Mongolian costumes. The boy character is named An Da in the Mongolian language, which translates as “friend” in Chinese.  The girl is called Sai Nu in the Mongolian language, meaning “hello” in Chinese.
