The Inner Mongolia Activity Week of the Floriade Expo 2022 officially kicked off online on Aug 3, according to information from the Inner Mongolia committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

The Floriade Expo 2022 is a once-in-a-decade A1 category horticultural event. This year's expo is being held in Almere, the Netherlands from April 14 to Oct 9.

It aims to explore solutions from national and international innovators that make cities more fun, beautiful and sustainable.

Due to the epidemic, the main venue for the Inner Mongolia Activity Week is in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

At the activity's opening ceremony, a promotional video of Inner Mongolia was played, introducing its magnificent natural beauty, rich cultural history and the development status of its environmentally-friendly and diversified industries.

On the afternoon of Aug 4, China-EU economic and trade matchmaking and negotiation activities were carried out. High-quality enterprises from Inner Mongolia conducted online negotiations and communications with more than 30 enterprises in the EU.

From Aug 5 to 6, Inner Mongolia's Ordos city and Alshaa League will hold activities, during which the two places will promote local high-tech, environmental protection, food and health industries.

They will also showcase their landscapes, cultures and economic and social development.
