New mushroom planting facility in Baotou starts operations
A new planting center in Baotou for the common mushroom, also known as agaricus bisporus, has made major progress with its products sold to regions in Inner Mongolia autonomous region including in Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos, according to the Baotou Daily.
Located in Jiuyuan district, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the planting base covers an area of 22 hectares and is the largest agaricus bisporus planting base in the autonomous region. A total of 120 million yuan ($17.41 million) was invested into the project. It now boasts 24 standardized planting rooms.
The sales revenue of the planting base is expected to reach 20 million yuan annually.
