Two new Jin Opera performances are held at the Baotou Grand Theater in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 26 and 27. They were performed by artists from China National Shanxi Jin Opera Co. Jin Opera originated in central Shanxi province and is one of four Bangzi operas –– a type of opera characterized by its use of wooden clappers and energetic singing.
