Since Feb 18, the first workday following the Spring Festival holiday, the Baotou government has presided over several conferences at which it has urged all government sectors to spare no effort in the creation of a first-class business environment for burgeoning enterprises, according to local media reports.

The city now is seeking to facilitate comprehensive quality development - an impossible task unless government officials are ready to shoulder their responsibilities in creating a better atmosphere for investors, entrepreneurs and laborers.

In a mobilization conference on government work, emphasis was placed on the importance of strong political awareness, sharp judgments and strong executive power in order to ensure the full implementation of the policy. In addition, it was highlighted that improving the business environment also requires long-term thinking, strategic planning and an integrated mindset. The conference also called on cultivating beneficial business conditions by paying more attention to details.

Sun Zhigang, director of Baotou health committee, said after the conference that officials are supposed to be problem-, target- and result-oriented in promoting the city's healthcare services, which are also involved in bettering the business environment.
