Baotou has built a smart city big data platform, spatial geographic information system (GIS), urban digital physical sign platform, information system registration platform, and resident information management platform.

The city's constant release of data dividends has improved the lives of residents and the informatization level of government services.

The Baotou smart city big data platform has accessed 300 types and 88.31 million pieces of government data from 42 regions and departments.

The platform has also organized 32.74 million data assets into five basic databases focusing on population, legal persons, credit system, macro-economy and spatial geography.

In addition, the platform released 23 types of data sharing services, opened access to 65 departments, including education, civil affairs, public security, and human resources and social security, and realized data query, batch sharing and other functions.

The government data sharing service was provided to 18 departments in the city, sharing a total of 96.66 million pieces of data.
