The A-Warm Tech down jacket series of ANTA Sports Products Limited, which was created by the Tianjin Branch of the Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth and comes equipped with rare earth hot return technology, was recently launched. The down jacket printed lining is prepared with rare earth infrared heat storage agent as raw material.

The heat storage agent can absorb infrared rays radiated by the human body and efficiently emit them back to the surface of human skin, with an emissivity of 94 percent. As a result, the fabric forms a thermal cycle effect with the human body, preventing heat loss and improving warmth.

Shi Wenjing, director of the rare earth textile materials research and development center of the branch, said that the irradiation temperature increase of the printed lining fabric of the down jacket is 2.5 times higher than the national standard.

Rare earth elements have a rich electronic layer structure and useful optical properties, which are indispensable in industrial production. The launch of the Blazing Series down jacket products also broke new ground in the application of rare earth in the textile field.
