The fourth Industry-Academia-Research Integration Seminar of China's Rare Earth Industry was held in Baotou from May 27 to 28, bringing together over 130 representatives from more than 80 industry associations, enterprises, and organizations.

The goal of the seminar was to further strengthen the in-depth integration of production, academia, and research in the rare earth industry, extend the industrial chain of rare earth materials, promote technological innovation in the rare earth industry, and support the development of rare earth bases in Baotou.

Currently, the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is focusing on the development of the rare earth permanent magnet material and permanent magnet motor industries. The zone is making significant efforts to attract leading enterprises in the industry and accelerate the construction of a rare earth permanent magnet motor industrial park.

The Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute is concentrating on the high-value application of rare earth resources and the extension of the industrial chain. To date, it has facilitated the transfer and commercialization of five key scientific research achievements, including rare earth reflective coatings and high-quality rare earth alloy materials, and has made five key scientific research achievements related to rare earth medical antibacterial materials and rare earth coated glass.

During the seminar, seven scientific research achievements from the Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute were successfully signed for technology transfer agreements. Additionally, seven technological innovations and research outcomes were released at the event.

During the event, participants also visited the Baotou Rare Earth Museum and the National Rare Earth Functional Materials Innovation Center, both located in the city.
