Baotou is currently home to 42 maker spaces, including 14 recognized at the national level, 30 at the Inner Mongolia autonomous region level, and eight at the Baotou municipal level.

In recent years, Baotou has continuously fostered incubation platforms for sci-tech innovation and entrepreneurship, providing enterprises in the city with a wide range of technology services such as low-cost office spaces, tax and financial services, and innovation and entrepreneurship training.

To date, the city has provided technology services to over 9,000 tech-based enterprises and startup teams, leading to the growth of a number of promising tech companies, including Xinda Technology and Yihui Technology. The incubated enterprises have collectively accumulated more than 4,000 intellectual property assets.

Moving forward, Baotou will continue to support the development of industrial clusters in rare earth, crystalline silicon photovoltaics, hydrogen energy storage, and more. The city is devoted to incubating additional outstanding tech enterprises and providing a technological boost for Baotou's innovation and high-quality economic growth.
