The program of “key technological R&D and application of digital ports” undertaken by the Scientific and Technological Corporation has passed the inspection and check by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Experts believe that the implementation of the program will achieve improved operation models, enhance port capacity, reduce operation costs, and attain sound inland transportation. By doing so, the trade processing, logistics, management, and services of ports will reach advanced levels in the world.

The program, tailored to areas like trade and port transactions, monitoring, and relevant e-commerce, realizes the digitalization of business operation, management, service system and infrastructure by making use of technologies, including 3S, RFID, and research tools. It also plays a positive role in port management and automated terminal operation.
