The largest venture capital project in terms of money in the B2B tourism industry on the Chinese mainland will be carried out in Suzhou of Jiangsu province.

8trip.cn, a website providing services to more than 80 percent of all travel agencies in East China, reached an agreement with Vision Knight Capital and SB China Venture Capital, receiving about 150 million yuan ($24.6 million) from the two companies.

A tourism B2B website is an agency that serves tourism product providers and travel agencies.

More than 200 travel agencies in Suzhou have group tours and reception services, mainly receiving business from large agencies in Beijing and Shanghai. In 2012, 243,600 Suzhou residents travelled abroad, and only 70,000 people chose group tours organized directly by local Suzhou travel agencies.

To change the situation, the website was founded two years ago operating in a fashion similar to Alibaba.com.
