The Pingtan performance Pingjiang Road in the Rain, representing the culture center of Gusu district in Suzhou of Jiangsu province, won the gold prize at the ballad singing tournament of the 15th Shanghai International Art Festival.

More than 170 artists from cities and provinces in the Yangtze River Delta, such as Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, performed 21 programs in the tournament.

The performances included a one-man show, a lotus rhyme from Shaoxing, Huzhou Santiao, Pudong story-telling, the ballad story-telling performance Luogushu, and the singing performances Changchunniu and Xuanjuan.
