Taicang Museum has held many special exhibitions since its opening, offering a good environment and service for tourists.

Taicang Museum held a series of exhibitions themed around social change for World Museum Day. The Taicang historical and cultural photos exhibition organized by the museum won praise among tourists. It held a guqin concert (a seven-string plucked instrument) in the former residence of Zhang Pu for the first time. Tourists were not only able to visit the ancient building of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) for free but could also enjoy beautiful guqin music.
