Recently, Taicang was recognized as the best investment environment in 2013 among Chinese logistic cities. It was one of nine cities recognized. This is the third time Taicang won the award after 2009 and 2010. Its logistic environment has earned high praise from the logistics industry.

The 10th China International Logistics Week is co-organized by the China Communications and Transportation Association and Haikou municipal government. It is supported by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, and the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China.

In recent years, Taicang has released a series of policies to support its logistics industry. It is using the advantage of its location next to Shanghai and the Yangtze River to boost the construction of Taicang Port. Taicang Port has improved with the approval of a free trade zone. Taicang Port has 110 courses so far; it has reached 2.63 million standard cases of container throughput and 98.11 tons of cargo throughput.
