South Garden chrysanthemum exhibition

A chrysanthemum exhibition was held in Taicang’s South Garden from November 5 to December 5, attracting many visitors from Shanghai and Suzhou. The Taicang municipal tourism bureau utilized the exhibition and other autumn and winter tourist attractions to promote local tourism and display the charm of Taicang.

Taicang has opened its first WeChat account. It has selected 20 official WeChat accounts to reach over 600,000 WeChat users in order to promote tourism.

Propaganda in Shanghai and Kunshan

Taicang utilizes media to promote its tourist attractions in Shanghai and Kunshan to take advantage of their convenient transportation and location. 1. Shanghai: Billboards Taicang has more than 236 billboards in the central area of Jiading district and in upscale communities in Baoshan district. 2. Kunshan: TV advertising From Friday to Sunday, a 15-second TV commercial for Taicang’s tourism airs on primetime (7:30pm).

Local promotion

Local promotions are customized for Shanghai visitors and local residents. For Shanghai visitors, Taicang has set up 11 billboards along Chaoyang Road (Shanghai - Taicang exit). For local residents, Taicang has set up 25 banner advertisements in 23 communities, heightening the popularity of tourism among local residents.

The South Garden held a matchmaking activity on November 11. More than 60 young people participated, creating a warm atmosphere.

The boundless joy of Taicang’s tourism

Thirty people participated in an activity known as "Local Residents Travel in Taicang." They experienced off road vehicles, eco-farm vegetables, the chrysanthemum exhibition and DIY foreign pastries. The activity impressed participants. One visitor said, “Taicang is as charming as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.”
