Suzhou folk artist Lu Xiaoqin’s kernel carving work The 24 Paragons of Filial Piety and Cai Yundi’s stone carving work Three Memories in Life won the Shanhua Award, the highest-level award for folk arts in China.

Thirty-seven folk art works from Suzhou won the Yingchunhua Awards, the highest-level folk arts award in Jiangsu province.

The Shanhua Awards are issued by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Chinese Folk Literature and Art Society. Thirty-nine works were awarded this year.
