Taicang citizen Yang Jing, a member of the Regulation of Chinese Penjing Artists Association, is the founder of new water-and-land penjing with characteristics of water towns in the south of the Yangtze River.

In August, Yang established a Chinese bonsai art network to provide bonsai enthusiasts nationwide with a platform for communication and display, further promoting the art of Chinese bonsai cultivation. The site saw daily traffic increase, which led to the idea to create a network bonsai exhibition. The exhibition will display Suzhou bonsais, Yangzhou bonsais, Shanghai bonsais, Sichuan bonsais and Lingnan bonsais.

Currently, the Chinese bonsai art network is preparing for the 2014 Online Chinese Bonsai Art Exhibition.
