The Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, Jiangsu Provincial Science & Technology Department, and Jiangsu Provincial Education Department recently issued a document recognizing Taicang Modern Agricultural Garden as a Jiangsu Popular Science Education Base from 2013 to 2017.

In recent years, the garden has expanded efforts to promote the popularization of science. It has fully exerted its advantages in ecology, technical talent and rich plant resources to organize science promotion activities for the public, especially the young, in order to spread agricultural knowledge and protect the environment. The public also learned to love nature and protect the environment while enjoying exotic animals and plants. Activities in the garden, such as a photo contest, bonsai art exhibition, orchid fair, and the PST hall’s “Open Days” and World Environment Day on June 6 attracted the general public. In addition, the garden hosted a culture and sports festival, talent show, and outward-bound activities, enriching staff life and enhancing the holistic and balanced development of the garden.
