A promotional film about Suzhou Bay in Taihu New City was shown on CCTV-1 and CCTV-13’s Morning News program on January 1, 2014.

Lasting 15 seconds, the film displayed the beauty of Suzhou Bay with a series of images, featuring Taihu Lake, fishermen, green landscapes, leisure sightseeing and modern buildings in the new city. Meanwhile, the film showcased the prosperous Gusu district, where tradition and innovation, economy and society, man and nature all develop in harmony. The ecology, fashion and vigor of Suzhou Bay were also highlighted in the film.

The construction of Taihu New City is an important part of Suzhou’s new development pattern and a milestone for Suzhou transition from a "canal era" to “Taihu Lake era." As the biggest highlight of Suzhou’s modernization in the 21st century, Suzhou Bay will become a model for low-carbon and harmonious development of society and nature, as well as a benchmark of urbanization and modernization.

The film about Suzhou Bay will be broadcast on the Morning News program during odd-numbered days each month until the end of April.
