Huqiu Academy in Suzhou of Jiangsu province has initiated an event to invite experts to spread traditional culture by telling stories to people of different ages throughout schools and communities.

Suzhou is a city of legends. Its numerous writers have helped the city establish a profound culture. Stories are always easy to understand and interesting, so storytelling is a perfect way to spread culture.

There are more than 120 experts attending the events now, hailing from famous universities, research centers, museums and libraries. They specialize in literature, folk customs, history, psychology, education and gardening. They will tell stories about famous historical figures, streets and alleys, mountains, temples and traditions.
