Alibaba, China's largest e-commerce group, released its 2013 Top 100 Most Developed Chinese Counties for E-Commerce list in a recent research report. The city of Suzhou had four counties on the list, including Kunshan, Changshu, Taicang and Zhangjiagang. They ranked fifth, eighth, ninth and 42nd, respectively.

The counties included in the top three are all from Zhejiang province, including Yiwu and Yongkang of Jinhua city and Haining of Jiaxing.

Nine other counties from Jiangsu province also edged onto the list.
