The 2014 China Taicang aqua-cultural food festival and tourism festival has started. Several tourist attractions in the Yangtze River Estuary are packed with visitors, who favor this place for local trips.

Located in the estuary, Liuhe town is one of the best places to enjoy the scenery and fresh air of Yangtze River. A sightseeing overpass stretches across the wetland park along the 2.5-kilometer riverbank. The recently completed wetland park is an important part of the Yangtze River Estuary forest park, which was built by the Taicang Yangtze River Estuary tourist resort.

Since the resort was named a provincial scenic spot, the administrative committee planned to build four major tourism development zones, a new river beach district, a fishermen’s wharf, Liuhe ancient town and Yangtze River Estuary forest park, by integrating natural, historical and cultural resources within the 16 square kilometers. After dredging the river and building a pleasure boat system, Yuan Garden, a farmland in the northern landscape, a protection forest and the wetland park will be linked and built as the 338-hectare Yangtze River Estuary forest park – offering a beautiful paradise for visitors. Now under construction, the Yuan Garden extension project will improve sightseeing and recreation in the Yuan Garden villa. Visitors can experience a four-season garden, a picking garden and a family amusement park. The 178-hecture farmland in the northern landscape will combine the nearby river system and forge modern agricultural projects.

With a unique geographical advantage, abundant human and natural resources, Yangtze River Estuary will become a multifunctional tourist resort by integrating and utilizing all its advantages.
