The Third China Suzhou International Culture & Design Industry Fair (CCDF) will take place on April 18, 2014. At the briefing held by the executive committee office of CCDF, it was announced that this year’s animation pavilion would be quadrupled, and a live Chinese ink digital cartoon display will be launched for the first time in the world.

At last year’s CCDF, the animation pavilion covered an area of 1,500 square meters, and a Yangtze River Delta cartoon games carnival was held. This year, the area will reach 6,000 square meters. Apart from the carnival, a “COMIC MATSURI” cartoon show will be held.

The show will take place at the 3A Hall of Suzhou International Expo Center from April 18 to 20, which is the largest pavilion at this year’s fair. The cartoon show is a comprehensive animation exhibition with a fan cartoon show, trade fair, stage performances, e-sports, recreation and food. Enterprises that will participate in the exhibition are more than five times at last year’s event, and include Japan Animate, Korea Novel Engine, Guangzhou Tianwen Kadokawa Animation and Comics Co., Ltd, Shanghai Seven Stone Studio, and Studio Deen. Some cartoon derivative products that can only be bought at exclusive stores before the fair will be available. Apart from singing, dancing and COSPLAY, several domestic cartoon celebrities and Japanese voice actors will also be invited.

This year’s Yangtze River Delta cartoon games carnival is also highly anticipated. Activities before CCDF include the 2014 China Suzhou cartoon contest for primary and secondary school students, and the 2014 Suzhou colleges COSPLAY show. During the fair, a special Chinese ink digital cartoon, produced in cooperation with Shanghai University, will be displayed for the first time anywhere in the world.

Tickets are required for admission to the cartoon pavilion. Tickets for “COMIC MATSURI” cartoon show and Yangtze River Delta cartoon games carnival are now available on taobao.com. Tickets can also be bought at the pavilion during the fair.
