A scarecrow art festival kicked off at Taihu Lake Wetland Park in Suzhou of Jiangsu province on April 1, 2014. The theme of this year’s event is “the magic adventure of scarecrows.”

Scarecrows based on well-known cartoons are displayed at the park. A large magic castle has been set up at the gate of the park. A scarecrow from the Disney cartoon film Frozen will guide visitors to the magic world.

There are various kinds of interactive games during the festival. Straw-themed gifts are provided. The scarecrow wonderland is a good place for kids. Clowns will perform magic on weekends and holidays.

Families are also invited to join in a “mission” – get a mission card and find the right cartoon scarecrows. After the mission is completed, those that upload their photos with the scarecrows will get a gift and a chance to win an iPad Air.
