Various kinds of night tours at gardens in the Panmen scenic area will be open to the public during the 17th Suzhou International Tourism Festival, which will kick off on April 11, 2014.

The garden will reproduce a painting from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) to show the essence of local Wu culture and give people an overall experience of life in Suzhou.

Folk performances, light shows and folk custom shows will be staged as well.

On the opening day of April 11, the first 500 tourists for the night tour will be qualified to join in a lottery. During the trial run period from April 12 to May 31, people can enjoy a discounted ticket price of 40 yuan ($6.45) per person.

Those holding Suzhou residence cards will get a discounted price of 15 yuan per person.
