Nine travel routes have been released for the 17th Suzhou International Tourism Festival, which will kick off in Suzhou of Jiangsu province on April 11, 2014.

Six of the routes are for individual tourists, including a walking tour to know the culture of ancient Suzhou, a two-day self-driving tour around Taihu Lake, a cycling tour at the Yangcheng Lake peninsula, a flower enjoyment tour in Xiangcheng district, a two-day hot spring tour at Suzhou National New & Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone and a family tour in the eastern part of Taihu Lake.

The other three routes are designed for group tours, including a local culture tour, two-day wedding photography tour and two-day high-end tour themed around Gusu.

All the routes are carefully designed and include major tourism resources, according to Wang Rudong, head of the marketing department of the Suzhou tourism administration.

The routes are deeply connected with culture and focus on details, helping visitors better learn about Suzhou and local Wu culture.
