The 2014 Chinese Orchids Exhibition and Floriculture Exposition unveiled at Taicang Modern Agricultural Park on April 5. Song Jianzhong, chairman of the CPPCC Taicang municipal committee, and Wang Yonglin, member of the Taicang municipal standing committee, attended the opening ceremony.

The orchid exhibition is hosted by the Jiangsu Orchid Association, Taiwan Orchid Association and the professional committee of orchids at the Shanghai Agricultural Association. It is co-organized by the Taicang Orchid Association and Xincheng Orchid and Gardening Company. The exhibition attracts orchid collectors and social groups from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing, Hubei and Sichuan to showcase their orchid collections.

Besides orchid exhibition, the organizer also invites orchid experts to give lectures teaching people how to cultivate and appreciate orchids.
