Ten popular scenic spots in Suzhou will open to visitors for free on May 19, the city's travel bureau said.

And another 20 spots will offer 20 to 50 percent discounts to visitors.

The 10 scenic areas are located in Suzhou city, Zhangjiagang city and Changshu city, including Xiangxuehai in Wuzhong district, Suzhou, Zhenze Old Town, and Fenghuangshan Mountain.

Renowned Luzhi Old Town will cut its ticket price by half on May 19. The Xishan Scenic Area near Taihu Lake will also offer a 20 percent discount for tickets.

May 19 is China Tourism Day.
