Any visitor to Taicang can get a clear picture of the city at the new Taicang Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. Divided into three parts - past, present and future - the hall is individually styled with some local elements incorporated into the exhibition design.

The first exhibition area features "historical city", where visitors can see old architecture and old streets, which all present the history of the city's development and evolution.

Visitors may find the large digital sand table more interesting. Showing the regional planning of the city, the sand table covers an area of 800 square meters, among the biggest in the country. With 3D technology, the sand table will enable visitors to experience the charm of Taicang.

In addition, the pavilion details the city's achievements and planning through digital touch screens and LED screens.

To better showcase the future of Taicang, the exhibition hall provides some interactive facilities. The experience zone allows visitors to drive "future low-carbon cars". Several interactive activities are also offered to the public to help them enjoy a beautiful garden city of the future.

The hall is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday. Free tours require valid certificates such as ID card, student card, senior citizen card, military officer certificate or passport.
