The 2014 International Tourism Exhibition (ITE) was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from June 12 to 15.

During the 2014 ITE, Suzhou’s Chinese gardens, old water towns, specialty foods and customs attracted interest not only from Hong Kong people, but also some tourism industry insiders, who showed interest in pursuing cooperation.

The 2014 ITE offered a venue for Suzhou to present its city brand as the “Oriental Venice” and made it possible and easier to cooperate with other cities and enterprises.

About 650 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, including airline companies, hotels, travel agents, travel media, tourist attractions, and hundreds of national-level and local-level travel agencies from different countries.

With the increasing popularity of self-service trips, themed tours such as sports, honeymoon and overseas weddings and travel photography were highlighted at the 2014 ITE.
