A meeting for Taicang and Shanghai to jointly promote their modern service industries was held on July 10 in the city of Taicang.

During the meeting, the city signed an agreement with the Shanghai Services Federation (SSF), to strengthen communication and exchanges between the two sides, as well as to push forward the common development of their service industries.

Zhou Yupeng, president of the SSF and Wang Jianfeng, Party secretary of Taicang, attended the meeting.

Wang introduced Taicang's economic development in recent years. He noted that local authorities have been revving up for the growth of the modern service sector, seeking to boost further industrial restructuring and economic development. Taicang's modern service industry is now focusing on port logistics, service outsourcing, tourism, commerce and finance.

Wang also expressed the hope that SSF would support Taicang's modern service industries with the aim of boosting development in both regions.

The SSF is an important association in Shanghai that is committed to accelerating Shanghai's service industries. Taicang and Shanghai are good neighbors, and enhancing their cooperation will serve the interests of both sides.
