The two-way, four-lane bridge starts at the intersection of Yuelu Road and Xingang Road, and crosses the Yanglintang waterway. It is expected to be a highway bridge for the central areas in Taicang, which links Ludu, Shaxi and Huangjing. Caijiawan Bridge is a bridge of convenience, serving as a hub for rail and road transportation.

The section of Shuangfu Road in Shuangfeng town, was also fully completed and opened to traffic on July 15, stretching from the crossing of Shuangfu Road and Fengyuan Road to the State Road 204. It will become the main road in Shuangfeng town that will improve the town's transport network.

In addition, some other important projects in Taicang are undergoing smoothly. West Ring Road in Shaxi, which connects Shuangfu Road and Provincial Road 224, and a connecting road between Sha'nan Road and Zhaoyan Road in Shaxi, are scheduled to open to traffic soon. Completion of the roads is hoped to promote Shaxi's construction and development.

According to the transportation authorities, they will step up efforts to improve Taicang's transport capabilities and transform the city into an integrated system of highways, waterways and railway transportation.
