The city of Taicang in Jiangsu province and Jiading district in Shanghai recently agreed to jointly manage the area between them.

Liunan village in Taicang's Liuhe town neighbors Maoqiao village in Jiading's Huating town, which is one of the country's 35 designated demonstration areas of beautiful village construction.

The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral management of the shared area, enhance exchange and communication between the two sides, and boost their joint development of economy, culture and environment.
