A group of maritime police in Taicang, Jiangsu province, carried out various commemorative activities in the city's Mingde Primary School and Mingde Secondary School on Sept 1 to commemorate the 69th anniversary of the country's victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, which falls on Sept 3.

More than 1,000 students sang national anthems, hoisted national flags, watched films about the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and listened to relevant stories. The activity sought to spread knowledge about Chinese history and promote patriotism among youth.
