A grand ceremony was held in Taicang, Jiangsu province, on Sept 9 to celebrate the 30th Teacher's Day, which falls on Sept 10.

A number of teachers who have made outstanding educational contributions and cultivated excellent students were awarded at the ceremony. The event also displayed the development of Taicang's education.

In addition, a series of artistic performances were presented by students during the ceremony to express their respect and best wishes to teachers.
