The city of Suzhou, Jiangsu province now has a more convenient way to avoid traffic jams and congestion -- the new Suzhou Industrial Park Heliport -- that opened on Sept 10, after 5 years of design, construction work, and approval from the military and commercial aviation departments.

The 60,000-square-meter heliport, at Yangcheng Lake, can hold 60 light-to-medium helicopters and holds other facilities and a yacht club.

People can now get a birds-eye view Suzhou for a mere 800 yuan. In future, it will provide training for private and commercial pilots, air tours of the Suzhou area, in flight marriages, and charter flights, as well as maintenance and storage of private and commercial helicopters. [Photo/IC]
