1. Folk Custom Performance

Time: October 1-7

Location: Quanfu South Road, Zhouzhuang

Activity: The characteristic folk custom activities which originated in the Ming and Qing Dynasty will appear at Zhouzhuang Street during the golden week. The festive activities, such as flower basket dance, body-in-handmade boat performance and flower roll dance, have passed from generation to generation in Zhouzhuang.

2. Kunqu Performance at Ancient Opera Stage

Time: October 1-7 at 10:30-11:30 am; 14:00-16:00 pm; 19:00-21:00 pm

Location: Ancient opera stage in Zhouzhuang (No. 89 Beishi Street)

Activity: During the golden week, tourists can appreciate the Kunqu Pony Pavilion, Park Visiting, Dream Breaking and Shanmen in front of an ancient opera stage and further enjoy the classic operas such as Wuxi opera. A pot of A'po tea, several dishes of desserts and an episode of memories will interweave into a big dream!

3. A Moonlit Night on the Spring River – The Song Collection Album of Guzheng

Time: October 1-7 at 16:00-16:30; 19:00-19:30 (need reservation in the evening)

Location: A Moonlit Night on the Spring River Guzheng Guild Hall (No. 16 Nanshi Street)

Activity: A Guzheng-featured inn, like a coy lady hiding in the courtyard of the South Lake. Curtains appear in every corner of the corridor with cushions scattered here and there. A lady in white will play the Guzheng and the melodious music will hover above the water.

4. South Lake Guqin Club

Time: October 1-7 at 14:00-14:30 each day

Location: South Lake Guqin Club (No. 42 Houxiang Street)

Activity: South lake gathering will provide an excellent place for guests to appreciate Guqin and seek friends. Tourists who are fond of Guqin, a tea ceremony and the folk house can consider staying one night here.

5. Tasting Desserts and Tea in Zhouzhuang

Time: Local opera performance: October 2 and 3 at 9:00-15:00 Zhouzhuang storytelling: October 5 at 9:00-15:00

Location: Zhenfengli Community Culture Center

Activity: You can sit together with Zhouzhuang locals, taste handmade desserts, listen to the music composed and performed by the neighbors and chat around the table. Easy and comfortable, you can listen to the music and taste tea with its fragrance surrounding you. This leisurely life attracts a lot of tourists.

6. Storytelling and Ballad Singing in Guest Gathering Floor

Time: 8:00-16:00 each day

Location: Guest Gathering Floor Tea House (No. 107 Culture Street)

Activity: Suzhou Storytelling and ballad singing has a long history and prevailed in the Qianlong period, during the Qing Dynasty. Friends sit around the table, chat and listen to melodious storytelling and ballad singing with a pot of A’po tea and several dishes of desserts. Classics such as Beautiful Jiangnan, Daiyu Buries Fallen Flowers, Charming Lake Tai, Miss To Sap Leung are euphonic and comforting.

7. Four Season Zhouzhuang Theme Performance

Time: 19:00-20:00 each night

Location: Jiangnan Renjia Water Stage

Activity: Four Season Zhouzhuang is the first water-country real scene performance about Jiangnan's original culture. Hundreds of native actors/actresses represent real living and working scenes. It will take you across time and space, let you recognize Jiangnan over night and experience the unchanged plainness and elegance regardless of the time.

8. 1086 Slow Life Block

Time: 15:00-24:00 each day

Location: 1086 Slow Life Block

Activity: You can feel the slow pace of 900-year Zhouzhuang regardless of the time of day or night. 1086 slow life block, named after the year that Zhouzhuang was established, is a bar block featured by light music bar. Maple house, red court and green fruit go through one year after another. You can also wantonly enjoy the slow time with tasty wine, food and music.
