The city of Taicang, Jiangsu province, put on an exhibition of photographer Ding Songmao's photograph collection on Dec 9 at its Hengfa Photography Art Gallery.

The collection, themed around the business booming of Taicang Port, includes 150 photographs shot by Ding in the past 10 years.

Ding has a deep affection for seas, ports and ships, explaining that the collection came out to publicize and encourage business with Taicang Port.

Ding Songmao, born in the city of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, is a member of the China Photographers Association. He started to photograph Taicang Port's development in 1997, when he was employed at China Ocean Shipping Agency Taicang Co.

Sponsors of the exhibition were the Taicang Federation of Literary and Arts Circles and Taicang Photographers Association.
