Hanshan Temple expecting big show New Year's eve

The Hanshan Temple, in the city of Suzhou, Jiangsu province, will be ringing in the New Year with a "Dream and Share" ceremony, the evening of Dec 31, and, according to the city's tourism bureau, more than 3,000 tickets have been sold already, nearly a quarter of them for foreigners.

Those taking part that evening will be treated to a colorful program, with a Buddhist music performance on Fengqiao St and dances inspired by Suzhou art. And even those who can't come to the temple will still get a chance to participate thanks to an Internet presentation.

In addition, there are Wi-Fi hot spots around the temple area that will give more than 6,000 people access online at the same time.
