Taicang port becomes an international port

Taicang Port in the city of Taicang, Jiangsu province, has recorded stable development over the past year. In 2014, a total of 4,715 internationals ships docked at the port and the total imported and exported cargo exceeded 40 million tons, an increase of 11.33 percent and 10.15 percent respectively.

The port has considerably expanded ships' load capacity to help import and export enterprises reduce logistics cost, shorten transit time and improve transport efficiency, attracting more international companies to ship cargo there.

In addition, the port has focused on providing convenient transportation for importers and exporters by launching a paperless declaration system.
