The 2015 Spring Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition opened on Mar 3 in the Suzhou Art Museum. This year, visitors can bring art works home by scanning the painting’s QR codes which are displayed on the labels. After scanning, visitors can receive a high-definition digital version of the picture and an electronic introduction to the calligraphy and paintings. It is the first time that the technology has been introduced to exhibitions in Suzhou.

The exhibition showcases 89 pieces of calligraphy and paintings created by 46 Suzhou artists and range from depictions of natural scenery, contemporary portraiture and contemporary Suzhou. The main focus of the calligraphy and painting exhibition is to show the daily life in Suzhou from varying perspectives, stories and scenes.

The exhibition is free to enter and runs until Mar 14 (the exhibition is closed on Mondays).
