Media personnel from news groups were welcomed in Suzhou on April 11, where they visited the city's many scenic spots over four days, including The Humble Administrator's Garden.

The visiting activity, called "Journey in Beautiful China-Suzhou", is jointly organized by the China Tourism News and Suzhou tourism bureaus and aims to discover and publicize the country's beautiful scenery.

According to the activity organizer, it was the third time for a media group to visit Suzhou for the "Journey in Beautiful China-Suzhou" project. This year, more than 20 staff members from different media groups, including China Daily, People's Daily and Xinhua News Agency, joined the activity.

More importantly, this year's activity started in Suzhou and coincided with the Suzhou International Tourism Festival, bringing more opportunities for media personnel to gain a good understanding of Suzhou's tourism industry.

Since the activity launched in 2013, media groups have visited more than 20 scenic spots in different provinces and regions such as Sichuan, Guangxi, Gansu and Tibet, according to China Tourism News.
