The groundbreaking ceremony of Foliday Town Alpine Snow World was held in Taicang on Jan 30.

The indoor ski resort will cover a total area of one square kilometer and has a gross floor area of about 1.3 million square meters, just 600 meters from Taicangnan Railway Station.

The Foliday Town will create three Alpine themed resorts, including Alpine Snow World, Alpine Sports Park, and Alpine Time Town.

In addition, Alpine Snow World is wholly owned by Foliday Tourism Group and is managed by Compagnie des Alpes, the world's leading ski resort operator.

Alpine Snow World covers an area of approximately 54,000 square meters and a total construction area of 91,000 square meters, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($309.6 million).

It is a large-scale indoor ski resort in East China. There are five ski trails inside, with the longest one-way ski trail reaching up to 280 meters.

In order to create a near real snow experience, Alpine Snow World uses the Wyss snow machine, a highly certified refrigeration snowmaking equipment from France, which is the first indoor ski resort to use Wyss in China.

In addition to fantastic skiing experiences, there are 14 other snow-related activities. Alpine Snow World will offer a snowfall-filled experience that provides visitors a feeling of loveliness and romance.
