Construction starts on Shanghai Sanyou's Taicang project

Shanghai Sanyou Medical Co held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Tytus projects in Taicang on March 10.

Tytus (Suzhou) Medical Technology Co is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Sanyou that is based in Taicang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

Tytus Medical Technology will set up R&D, manufacturing, and sales centers for sports medical equipment in the new district.

The projects will cover an area of 2.32 hectares. Their registered investment totals 1 billion yuan ($154.1 million). When fully operated, they are expected to reach an annual output value of 500 million yuan and contributed to over 50 million yuan in taxes.

Shanghai Sanyou is an enterprise committed to the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of medical orthopedic implant consumables. It is one of the few enterprises in the field of spinal implant consumables in China, with the ability to achieve original innovations based on clinical needs. 

Shanghai Sanyou was listed on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in April 2020, with a market value of over 10 billion yuan.
