Taicang to open new Alps-styled resort

Construction on Foliday Town Taicang Alps Resort is now well in progress. The resort, which is expected to be open in October 2023, is expected to become a world-class tourist destination in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Numerous scenes resembling the Alps will be featured in the resort, according to an announcement made at an April 24 news conference.

The resort in Taicang, East China's Jiangsu province will cover an area of one square kilometer, with the total construction areas amounting to 1.3 million square meters.

Themed on the Alps, the resort will incorporate the five natural elements in snowy mountains, lakes, valleys, forests, and villages. Visitors will also be able to experience the Alps lifestyle here.

The resort will have three major functional areas: Snow World, Time Town, and Sports Park. In Snow World, visitors can try their hands at 22 varieties of ice and snow sports, as well as acquire an immersive experience of skiing at sunset.

In Time Town, which is full of authentic Alps elements, visitors are able to have a taste of Alps-style food and buy local products from the Alps.

In Sports Park, which is rich in geological features of the Alps, visitors can engage in various water sports and activities in forests. It will be an ideal place for parents and children to explore together.
