Members of the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce, or SwissCham China, visited Jiangsu's Taicang on May 14.

SwissCham China is a networking and information platform for Swiss companies in China and Chinese companies interested in expanding to Switzerland. Its main goal is to serve the Sino-Swiss business community and strengthen economic bonds between the two countries.

The guests visited the Taicang Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Sino-German Industry Park to learn about Taicang's business environment.

Local government authorities and Joe Liu, President of SwissCham, gave welcome speeches to the guests. Presentations regarding Taicang's investment prospect and the development plan of the city's Loujiang New Town were also released.

Sabine Neuhaus, board member and secretary of SwissCham, had a panel discussion with representatives of foreign companies in Taicang to exchange ideas on win-win cooperation between investors and the city.

Taicang is known for having the highest density of companies from German-speaking countries. More than 370 such companies have settled in the city since 1993.
