The Taicang branch of Alpla (Jiangsu) Plastic Co Ltd was inaugurated on June 4, making the branch the 7th factory of Alpla in China.

Alpla is a world leader in the development and production of plastic packaging solutions. In 2007, the company founded its first Chinese factory in Tianjin.

Since Alpla (Jiangsu) Plastic Co Ltd was set up in 2011, the group has been expanding quickly. With its sales revenue increasing, the group inaugurated its branch in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province.

Taicang authorities said they hope that the Taicang branch would become a paradigm for Austrian companies that achieve success in China.

The branch is located at the European and American Industrial Park, an incubator focusing on introducing foreign companies specialized in intelligent equipment and precise devices.

The park's administrative committee said they are expecting more companies from the United States and Europe to invest in Taicang.
