Auxiliary carriages developed by Taicang Dongtai Precision Machinery Co Ltd are installed in China's first independently-developed ski-waxing truck, which will serve athletes and technicians during the Beijing 2022 Olympics Winter Games, local media reported on Jan 28.

Ski-waxing trucks will have over 90 square meters of space that come with waxing stations, storage space for skis, and a strong structure to protect against falling snow.

Taicang Dongtai Precision Machinery Co Ltd is a manufacturer of recreational vehicle parts.

In September 2021, the company signed a contract to manufacture parts for China's first independently-developed ski-waxing trucks and delivered the products two months later.

"We improved our techniques to make our products adaptive to the freezing cold. We are very proud to be part of the Winter Olympics," said a staff member of the company.
