China Development Bank branch signs partnership with Taicang

The Suzhou branch of the China Development Bank signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Taicang, East China's Jiangsu province, agreeing to provide financial support for the city's construction projects, at a signing ceremony on March 4.

Under the memorandum, the Suzhou branch of the China Development Bank will extend a 33.77 billion yuan ($5.33 billion) credit to Taicang to support a number of projects.

These projects involve fields of urban development, ecological preservation and the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region.

As the world's largest development-oriented financial institution, the China Development Bank has been providing financial support for Taicang for years.

Representatives of the Suzhou branch of the China Development Bank said that the branch will continue to support Taicang's efforts in green development, ecological restoration and improvement of infrastructure.
